Training Arm, Communication Stick, Carrot Stick, or Training Stick goes by many names.
The training Arm is my preferred tool method in the early stages of groundwork exercises with my horses. I like the lightweight feel of the 3/4 shorter rod, and the golf grip on the handle gives you a great feeling.
I team my Training Arm up with a training string, giving me a length to reach my horse if he needed a little more motivation throughout his groundwork exercises.

It is constructed from a fiberglass rod with a rubber loop attached at one end and a neatly fitted rubber grip on the other end:  3/4 size length for children as well as those who like the feel of the shorter stick.
